Universities are massive properties, with many devices and shifting priorities all demanding attention. The stakes are high to keep HVAC, lighting, and security systems running as they should. Just a few months ago, Princeton University had breaker panels restarting and football stadium lights turning on in the middle of the night. The controls engineer, Gary Brancato, couldn’t figure out what was causing this recurring problem. Unfortunately, there’s currently no organized training for university facility managers and controls engineers, so this confusion is common. They have few resources to turn to when problems crop up.

We want to change that. We’re teaming up with Controlco to bring a building automation intensive to Princeton University. This conference is for controls engineers who run BACnet systems at colleges and universities every day. The one-day seminar will focus on BACnet troubleshooting, IP networking, and learning from the successes of other universities.
