Optigo Networks Opens a Window on the Internet of Things

Danny Kam, Director and Strategic Partnership Advisor for Optigo Networks, discusses new products and the future of Optigo with the Vancouver Sun. With the recent launch of Optigo Insight and Visual BACnet, Optigo is expanding from networking hardware to software that monitors and optimizes building automation systems.

“What I said when I joined Optigo is that you need to change the way you think, you are no longer a startup, you are a scaleup,” said Kam. “The excitement is that now there is enough ammunition in terms of product that they can go for it.”

Optigo Connect, the networking hardware, is a strong and mature product with many users across North America. Customers have said that networking solutions today are too complex, while security and building automation users just want something they can understand. The newest products help building operators and integrators visualize their network to see devices and device performance, which leads to less downtime and expedited troubleshooting.
