Visual BACnet’s BACnet Browser has gotten a big new upgrade. Back in October, we redesigned the browser into a histogram for simplified troubleshooting. Now, we’ve introduced sophisticated ways to customize your drill downs, save filters, and solve network issues. Read on for three of the biggest changes.
1. Drill down and save filters in sequence
Before, you could apply different filters to a file, but the filters’ paths were set. Now, you can choose which filter you want to drill down on and save the sequences for later. Simply drill down, click through the array of filters at the top of the dashboard, and save the filter. You can save filters to use on an individual file, all the files in a site, or all of your files across your account.
2. Load saved filters
Those filters that you saved before? Now you can apply them to different pcaps in your account. There are three different options for saving: on an individual file, across all files in a site, or across all files in your account.
Saving and loading filters saves you time, so you can dive straight into filtering, troubleshooting, and solving problems fast.
3. Drill down on graphs
Before, you could drill down on the aggregate data of a field and view trends in activity. If one device was broadcasting a lot of communications, for example, you could see the sources, destinations, and types of communication.
Now, we’ve added a time filter, to allow you to zoom in and visualize trends, peaks, and anomalies that are hard to spot in a list of data. If you upload an hour-long capture and see one device is broadcasting data, you can pinpoint times and triggers to diagnose the source of the issue.
