May 26, 2020 Vancouver, BC – Optigo Networks is pleased to welcome Joel Schuster to the company’s board of directors. As the current Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at APOLLO Exchange, and former Chief Legal Officer, Senior Vice President, and Corporate Secretary at Avigilon, Schuster has a breadth of experience in technology and business law. The new board member will bring a fresh perspective and strategic eye to the Board of Directors at Optigo.

“I have been following Optigo Networks for a few years now, and it is well-positioned for the future,” says Schuster. “The company and board of directors have done a stellar job, and I look forward to helping guide Optigo through its next period of growth.”

Schuster had previously worked alongside the Optigo Board Chair, Danny Kam, who was the Executive Vice President of Engineering, at Avigilon. Schuster and Kam were crucial in Avigilon’s explosive growth, as well as the business’ later acquisition by Motorola Solutions, Inc.

“Joel lends a unique perspective as our newest board member,” says Pook-Ping Yao, CEO of Optigo Networks. “We are very fortunate to have his expertise, which complements the Board’s other subject matter experts so well. From Jim Whalen with his expertise in commercial real estate to Danny Kam’s knowledge of technology and business management, to Joel’s understanding of commercial law and strategy, we have a tremendously high-performance team.”
