Step 1: Easy Account Setup
When you sign up for OptigoVN, the system automatically creates an account for your organization. This means that all the OT networks you want to monitor will be linked to your account right from the start, making setup quick and easy.
Step 2: Adding Your OT Network
To get your OT Network Setup with OptigoVN, click Add OT Network. from the top menu. A new screen will pop up where you can name the network. We suggest using a name that describes the building or customer you’re monitoring.
You can also add optional details like location or a description. Once you’ve confirmed you’ve selected the Node Type “OT Network Node,” click Create Node to move to the next step.
Step 3: Setting Up a Monitoring Subnode
Next, you’ll create a monitoring subnode, the specific OT network location you want to collect traffic data from. To do this, select the OT network you just created and click Create Sub Node. Give it a name that matches where the data is coming from, like the BMS (Building Management System) server, a VLAN, or an MS/TP trunk. After that, click Create Node, and you’re ready to move on to the next step.
Step 4: Getting Your Data Connected
There are two easy ways to bring your network data into OptigoVN:
1. Uploading a Packet Capture (PCAP) File:
If you have a PCAP file, you can upload it to OptigoVN. Just select the OT network subnode that matches your file, click “Upload Files,” and choose the PCAP file from your computer. OptigoVN will analyze the file, and once it’s done, you can refresh the page to see your results.

2. Using Real-Time Traffic Capture Tools
